One large distributor of flowers was having extreme difficulty keeping flowers fresh for the duration of their time in transit. Customers were dissatisfied with the condition of the product delivered. Flowers, like every living plant, begin to die as soon as they are plucked from the ground. Plants, by their very nature, need to breathe. They ingest carbon dioxide and exhale oxygen. If there is not a suitable amount of circulation, oxygen gets trapped and the plants will eventually begin to suffocate. Left long enough, they will become seriously damaged and, in extreme cases, even die. If they are wrapped in solid stretch film, the trolley on which they are transported can become “sealed”, preventing the load from breathing.

Condensation can also be a real issue-especially during the summer months. Moisture escaping from the soil and extremely high temperatures can take a harsh toll on many plants and flowers.  Using Air Flo Stretch Wrap will allow plants and flowers to breathe naturally.
