“Fountain Inn, S.C. (April 2010) – IPS Packaging, a leading distributor of packaging supplies and equipment since 1976 is excited about their recent expansion to a new location in Memphis, Tenn.

As one of the south’s largest packaging distributors, we look forward to offering our customers the strongest value proposition in the marketplace,” said Greg Schuliger, Vice President of Sales, IPS Packaging.

The packaging distribution company is continually trying to find strategic expansion opportunities and feels that Memphis, Tenn. is a profitable choice both for the company and the Tennessee area.

Memphis is considered “America’s Distribution Center” (Memphis Business Journal), and IPS Packaging plans to pursue new business there in order to serve their growing customer base and keep pace with their overall business growth initiatives.

“The current market conditions within the Memphis packaging distribution industry make this the right time to expand our services and offerings to potential customers within the state and surrounding region,” said Schuliger.

The new distribution center, located at 4481 Pleasant Hill in Memphis, will give IPS Packaging ample room for continued growth in Memphis, and extending service into Mississippi and Arkansas as well.

“This expansion makes sense, not only because it plays a part in our five year growth plan, but because our existing customers have asked us to in order to service their locations within the region.”

IPS Packaging has already hired four sales representatives with over 80 years of combined sales experience for the new location. They also anticipate more job opportunities including, but not limited to, logistics and warehousing personnel.

Alan Sanger, currently the Business Manager for their Charlotte, NC branch, will be assuming the responsibility for IPS Packaging’s growth plan in the Memphis region and beyond.
