Unit in a corrugated box with mild shipping damage. The unit is currently packaged using EPS foam sheets that are strategically placed to fill all voids in box. There were two areas on the unit that appeared damaged. The first is the bottom surface of the unit is bent inward; the second area on the pack of the unit and it appears that the cover has been pushed inward.

The proposed tube pack was created using the Foam in place system. The film is 19” centerfold. The pack would begin by placing 1 section consisting of 7 tubes (size 7) such that they cover the bottom of the box.

img9The power unit is placed on the bottom pad and a bag of foam placed in each corner. These bags will be placed on their side and allowed to rise as the next bag is being placed.  The final section consists of 5 tubes (size 7) that is placed across the top of the unit between the corner pads.

  • Foam weight for the bottom pad = .654 lbs.
  • Foam weight for the corner cushions = .424 lbs each (x4).
  • Foam weight for the top pad = .463 lbs.
  • Total foam weight per pack = 2.81 lbs.
