Foam in place system creates custom server protection, no matter how rough the ride

Offering protection from the sides of the corrugated box rubbing against any of the controls during shipping, no matter how rough the trip.

The unit arrived palletized via common carrier. It was packaged with die cut PE foam  as pictured. The pack and box dimension did not seem to match since there was a large void in the top of the box.  The 4” bottom protective pad was created using a foam in place system. The film is 19” centerfold.

  • Foam Weight = 1.4 lbs.
  • Bag size = 42” 99% (ff = 30)

The unit is placed on the pad and centered in the box.  Special care should be taken when placing the bracing bags. This picture shows that we keep the foam from contacting the plastic “wings” on the front corners of the unit. A second bag should be placed on the opposite side of the unit.

  • Foam Weight = .8 lbs. (x2 = 1.6 lbs)
  • Bag size = 25” 99% (ff = 30)

The third bag in the pack would be on the front of the unit with care to leave a void as shown for the “wing”.

Total weight of completely customized pack-out is only slightly over 6 lbs, proving peace of mind doesn’t have to be expensive.

The back corners are secured with two more bags of the same size. Care should be taken to not cover the terminal connections on the back of the unit.

  • Bag size = 25” 99% (ff = 30)

The pack is completed by placing the top bag over the unit to offer protection in case the box is inverted.

Total foam weight per pack = 6.2 lbs.
