3M(TM) Cold Shrink Insulator 8428-6M, 10 per case This splice meets requirements of ANSI C119-1 and Western Underground Guide 2.14 for secondary splices rated up to 1 kV. This size is listed for availability only and is not designed to be used as primary insulation. This tube is for conduit sealing an breakout. Use wire insulation/jacket diameters and connector O.D. for final sizing confirmation. Mastic pad is included for cable O.D. build-up. 3M(TM) Cold Shrink Tubes are designed using a unique Cold Shrink delivery system. Products are supplied prestretched on a removable core for efficiency and ease of installation. Removal of the core (unwind) after positioning allows the product to shrink into position forming a moisture-tight seal. The live memory action of the specially formulated material ensures a permanent, durable environmental seal and insulation.
