50G ShockWatch Impact Label

ShockWatch labels are applied to the exterior of your packaging for a shipment, and they will visually alert everyone involved in the handling of the package that additional care is required. The labels are available in five sensitivities (g forces), as indicated by a unique color of the label. You need to match your ShockWatch sensitivities to the level of impact your product can withstand based on non-operating shock specifications. You can also match it based on the size and mass of your shipments. In-house drop testing should be conducted to ensure you have the correct ShockWatch label for your application. If mishandling occurs, the ShockWatch label serves as a permanent record of mistreatment. If there is no mishandling of the package, the ShockWatch label should remain white. If a package has been dropped or impacted, it will show a full or partial red coloration. Any red shown in the ShockWatch indicator window alerts receivers to inspect the packaging for damages. Keep in mind that ShockWatch labels are not indicators of damage, but of mishandling. If a shipment arrives with an activated ShockWatch Label, the receiver should immediately note any visible damage to the shipment, open the package and inspect for any damage to the goods. ShockWatch labels provide psychological reinforcement of proper handling procedures and changes the behavior of material handlers.
