Pearson TF18-BB Tray Former

Adjustable Tray Former is designed for laminated triangular or right angle corner post meat trays. Pearson's TF18-BB Tray Former forms and seals the corners of large trays from flat corrugated blanks at rates up to 18 trays per minute, depending on tray size and style. An 18" vertical magazine holds flat blanks from which individual trays are fed into the machine by a vacuum pull-down. The dual flight system transfers a blank through a special folding and sealing section where laminated panels and triangular corner posts are formed, aligned and sealed. The tray continues into the forming section where a pneumatic powered mandrel presses the blank downward through flex mounted plows that fold end and side walls up, leaving the tray staged in the compression chamber to firmly seal the corners. A completed tray with top flaps open and erect is released to drop onto the customer's conveyor beneath the tray former as the next tray is advanced into the foming section.
