Large Frame Adjustable Five Panel Tray Former. Pearson's TF18-FF Tray Former is designed to automatically form and seal the corners of a large five panel tray at rates up to 18 trays per minute, depending on tray size and style. The vacuum cups select a tray blank from the magazine and place it on flighted guides that transfer it through the glue to the forming section. The mandrel forms the tray, compresses the glued flaps and drops the formed tray onto the customer's discharge conveyor. The TF18-FF features a two speed mandrel. The TF18-FF utilizes the low speed as the mandrel approaches and contacts the tray blank, and then changes to the high speed to complete the compression stroke and return the mandrel to the starting position.
